Wadding and felts

Covertech pays particular attention to the search for innovative, safer, environmentally friendly materials with lower tooling costs, less difficulty in disposal and better technical performance.

Thermoformable polyester wadding

  • 100% recyclable and 50% sourced from recycled material (with supplier declaration)
  • excellent sound absorption and thermal insulation characteristics
  • standard colors: anthracite gray, black, light gray, white, light green
  • good fire reaction characteristics, which can be significantly improved with Flame Retardant additives
  • through the thermoforming process it is possible to create objects with variable section and density, obtaining areas with different acoustic responses, aesthetic elements, structural points, useful for fixing, drilling or ribs

Thermoformable polyester felt

Features

  • 100% recyclable and 50% from recycled material (with declaration from the supplier or GRS certificate)
  • standard colors: anthracite gray, light gray, white
  • good fire reaction characteristics, which can be significantly improved with Flame Retardant additives
  • through the thermoforming process it is possible to create objects with a constant section and with highly stressed shapes. Depending on the thickness, elastic hinges, folds, seams, structural elements (seats, rigid panels ...), strongly drawn products can be made

Biodegradable thermoformable felt in wool and pla

  • Eco-sustainable thermoformable felt: biodegradable at the end of its lifetime and made of non-petroleum base materials
  • Made with natural materials: wool matrix + binder in low melting PLA (polylactic acid obtained from corn) which allows it to thermoform
  • Three-dimensional panels can be obtained by thermoforming, possibly covered with fabrics or wool felts heat-sealed to the felt itself
  • The perception is that of a valuable material , with references to a familiar and natural environmnet but reinterpreted through innovative technology
